Joanie Halfaker, CFP, CPA and Divorce Planner spends much of her time helping women going through transition – divorce or losing a spouse. She conducts educational workshops on financial divorce success strategies and has spoken at groups such as Nova Southeastern University, AARP, Tampa Bay Enrolled Agents, HRTampa, The Centre for Women and several Divorce Support Groups, as well as meetings of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Before starting her Certified Public Accounting firm in Tampa in 1997, Ms. Halfaker was employed as the controller and chief financial officer of several publicly held companies related to the Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg, Florida from 1988 - 1997.  Prior to joining Home Shopping Network in 1988, Ms. Halfaker was employed as a senior accountant with the national accounting firm, KPMG Peat Marwick 1985 - 1988.
